First developed in Massachusetts USA in the 1820s, they are very friendly, happy to be handled and is well known for their placid, docile friendly temperament. Many of the POL Hybrids seen today have Plymouth Rock roots.
This breed is easily tamed and make ideal pets and can lay up to 200 very useful sized tinted eggs per year.  These birds are not show worthy, they are as  result of a long term project that Jeff is working on to recreate BrocBars, currently extinct.  So some may be buff with white areas - quite attractive, but not pure Buff.
