Collection: Biological Control

Biological pest control is all about introducing natural predators and parasites to control garden pests. In a natural ecosystem nearly every creature is food for something else and biological pest control is the act of boosting the population of a pest’s naturally occurring predators.

Keeping plant pests under control in a planet friendly way is no easy feat but the old way of working is a threat to our native bird and bee population and we need to do something different.

When you buy a living product it's only nematodes and sachets that we might have in stock and even these we only hold for a very short amount of time.  Other live predators Are sourced weekly as they need to get from the breeder to their food source (on your plants) very quickly.

So we order stock based on what you have been ordering and it arrives with us 2 days later, we send it out the day it arrives.  The weekends obviously cause a delay as we can't get new stock on Saturday, Sunday or Monday.  This is why it may take up to 10 days to despatch your order (worst case).

If there is going to be a period of time when you cannot receive your order, please get in touch immediately.

Sometimes a predator may be unavailable, this is usually only for a few days and it doesn't happen very often.  We will always get in touch if there is a delay to the normal despatch timing for your order.

I appreciate this is all very complicated, please just reply to this email if you would like to get exact despatch times for an order you have placed/are looking to place.
