Poultry runs to keep your chickens safe from predators at all times - if you have ever tried to catch chickens or clean out small integrated house runs, you will realise why we recommend walk in runs as the best long term solution.

  • DEFRA recommend - a hen house inside a walk in run as it meets the legal requirements in the event of a bird flu housing order
  • Predator safe - built well, walk in runs can be predator proof - we use them here at Chartley Chucks very successfully. 
  • Ideally you are looking for 2sqm of poultry run space per chicken if they are never free ranged, if you free range you can stock at a higher density.
  • A 300gsm tarpaulin is thicker and will last longer than a 100gsm one.
