Based on the Leghorn breed and often termed Dekalb, these birds are the best layers you can get - typically 7 large white eggs per week per bird.

The White Star Hybrid is smaller than the average robust Hybrid layer, displaying prolific, sizable egg-laying potential of approximately 340-360 eggs annually, while exhibiting a lively demeanour and an affable nature. Vaccination is in accordance with commercial regulations.

Healthy Chickens

The three Blue Marian chickens we picked up are lovely and healthy. I am keeping them separate from my flock at the moment because they are extremely skittish and hopefully with a bit of patience they will come round.

5 Lovely Ladies

I was recommended Chartley Chucks for POL chickens and they did not disappoint. I picked up 5 Silver Sussex Hybrids on a Friday afternoon, and was greeted with an egg within an hour of them getting home. After initial shyness, they have all settled in very well and laying approx 25 eggs per week. Ordering and collecting from Chartley Chucks was very straight forward, I would highly recommend them for quality, healthy hens.

Sorry I cant, they only become available once in a while, there were none at all last year. We do have Americana which lay blue eggs in stock, they are quite large for bantams and will mix easily with any other breed.
