Superb product, clever design

I bought this larger version of this coop for my 13 new hens (inc 5 large Buff Orpington’s), having had the smaller version for 8 others for a few years. The designer deserves so much credit, this is so easy to assemble and clean. The best feature though is the material used, some sort of indestructible laminate which is tough, secure, has some flex, is anti-mite and not least looks smart.

The best coop I experienced by far!

We have chickens in our backyard. They are friends and garden ornaments. Therefore, coop has to enhanced the garden too. We may re-arrange plants around coop time to time for the same reason, and had few problems with the previous plastic coops. Time is essential, as we have only 2-3 hours window gap between their finished egg laying and before dark. This HPL coop made it a lot easier as it took me only 30 minutes to assembled by myself.

Really pleased

Thanks Chartley I am really super please with this chicken house, its very easy to clean and very big, just right for my 6 Brahmas and 5 Orpingtons. I install edit on eight concrete blocks as you advised and ;levelled it up, This made the height better for me to clean out and left space under for the birds to dust bathe.

Excellent product

Five stars as it was easy to put together (the actual enclosed instruction were utter rubbish) and it looks great. The hens love it, but this is only a few days into having the coop, so hopefully it will still be good long term!

Great little coop

We wanted a durable plastic coop to avoid mites and reduced maintenance demands. This coop has been in use now for 3 months and is very good. It took us about 90 minutes to fully put up. It fits our 4 hens well and could probably get 1 or 2 more hens in. It took them a while to suss out the nest box but now they like it. It seems warm enough for them this winter, especially in a run with tarps around It. We use the automatic door too which works great but doesn't fully open - but the girls can fit under It. It is quite difficult to clean out the bedding but we only do a deep clean once a month so this hasn't been a problem. The only issue we had was that one roosting bar cracked during construction - we can still use it but if we take it out it will probably break in half. Overall a good coop at a fair price compared to others on the market.

Easy to assemble and delivered quickly

Great coop, really helpful that I could use my existing chicken coop timer for opening the door rather than needing to buy this along with the new coop. Also much better than wood for the mite situation that was out of control in my wooden coop.

Perfect

I have been looking for a large house for a while and found this, brilliant design and suits my fluffy butts perfectly, all 13 of them easily.

Question asked: Hi, I am looking for a new chicken coop that is bigger than the one I already have. We shall have 6 buff orpington in April, but the medium coop we have is too small especially not enough head room for them when they are perching. Could you give me internal floor dimensions including hight but excluding nesting boxes please. Thank you and regards, Ace

06-02-2026

Internally its 41.5" X 36.5" height is 34". So 10.5sq ft floor space with X3 perches X6 birds on each perch

Question asked: Is there any wood in the coop? The sides loo wooden. Thanks

18-06-2025

Easicoops are made from HPL (High Pressure Laminate), this material is used as cladding on buildings, operating theatres, kitchens, schools. The only wood is the perches. Most plastic coops have wooden perches as thats whats best for birds.

Question asked: Hi I am looking at purchasing the Easicoop Chalet 2XL - HPL Chicken house up to 18 large birds coop and coming to pick it up. Do you know if this would fit in a Grande CMAX? (Large 7 seater with sliding back doors). I obviously do not want to place an order and then find it doesn't fit into the car when I get there. Thank you in advance Kind regards Charlotte

06-01-2025

These and other coops will fit in the majority of cars provided the rear seat is folded down flat. flat pack size is 4ft x 3ft 3"

Question asked: Are these better than a wooden chicken house for keeping them free of red mites? I get mites every year in my wooden coop and spend a fortune on red mite sprays

01-11-2023

The simple answer is yes. Red mites live in very small crevices and can live in wood, plastic, metal, brick etc. The ideal chicken coop has no crevices and is easy to clean. The easicoops have very few areas where red mites can hide, unlike wood its not constructed out of tonque and grooved material with lots of joints. the only joins are in the corners (these joints are loose, not tight crevices) and where the roof sits on the walls, again these are not tiny crevices. its easy to wipe down
