Built from HPL—the same weather-resistant material used on schools and hospitals—this coop resists rot, insects, and odours while remaining effortless to clean. Its solid construction withstands UK weather and fox attacks, with no crevices for red mites to harbour. Accommodates up to 9 hybrid birds across two nest boxes and dual perches. The best coop I experienced by far!

We have chickens in our backyard. They are friends and garden ornaments. Therefore, coop has to enhanced the garden too. We may re-arrange plants around coop time to time for the same reason, and had few problems with the previous plastic coops. Time is essential, as we have only 2-3 hours window gap between their finished egg laying and before dark. This HPL coop made it a lot easier as it took me only 30 minutes to assembled by myself.

Really pleased

Thanks Chartley I am really super please with this chicken house, its very easy to clean and very big, just right for my 6 Brahmas and 5 Orpingtons. I install edit on eight concrete blocks as you advised and ;levelled it up, This made the height better for me to clean out and left space under for the birds to dust bathe.

Excellent product

Five stars as it was easy to put together (the actual enclosed instruction were utter rubbish) and it looks great. The hens love it, but this is only a few days into having the coop, so hopefully it will still be good long term!

Great little coop

We wanted a durable plastic coop to avoid mites and reduced maintenance demands. This coop has been in use now for 3 months and is very good. It took us about 90 minutes to fully put up. It fits our 4 hens well and could probably get 1 or 2 more hens in. It took them a while to suss out the nest box but now they like it. It seems warm enough for them this winter, especially in a run with tarps around It. We use the automatic door too which works great but doesn't fully open - but the girls can fit under It. It is quite difficult to clean out the bedding but we only do a deep clean once a month so this hasn't been a problem. The only issue we had was that one roosting bar cracked during construction - we can still use it but if we take it out it will probably break in half. Overall a good coop at a fair price compared to others on the market.

Easy to assemble and delivered quickly

Great coop, really helpful that I could use my existing chicken coop timer for opening the door rather than needing to buy this along with the new coop. Also much better than wood for the mite situation that was out of control in my wooden coop.

Great value

Great value - very quick to assemble, very clever design and just perfect for my 6 girls. I can chop up my wooden coop now which was becoming too time consuming to keep free from red mites and I spent a fortune on sprays and powders to try and keep it free. Lets hope this one is mite free free coop, it certainely will be much easier to clean.

Easicoops are made from HPL (High Pressure Laminate), this material is used as cladding on buildings, operating theatres, kitchens, schools. The only wood is the perches. Most plastic coops have wooden perches as thats whats best for birds.

Question asked: Are these better than a wooden chicken house for keeping them free of red mites? I get mites every year in my wooden coop and spend a fortune on red mite sprays

The simple answer is yes. Red mites live in very small crevices and can live in wood, plastic, metal, brick etc. The ideal chicken coop has no crevices and is easy to clean. The easicoops have very few areas where red mites can hide, unlike wood its not constructed out of tonque and grooved material with lots of joints. the only joins are in the corners (these joints are loose, not tight crevices) and where the roof sits on the walls, again these are not tiny crevices. its easy to wipe down
